Description
As a fan of Jon Hopkins’ work it seemed right for rising star Lulu James, known for her beautifully emotive, atmospheric voice, to contribute vocals to ‘We Disappear’. The pair met when performing at Unknown Festival in Croatia and soon after put down vocals at Hopkins’ London studio. He then built a new version of the track around James’ contributions and the result is much more sparse and almost Lynchian – darkly atmospheric, pulsing and retaining the urgency of the original but adding new depth with James’ stunningly soulful vocal performance.
