The follow-up to Harvest, On The Beach was Neil’s fifth studio album, and featured musicians from Crazy Horse, The Band, as well as David Crosby and Graham Nash. Sparse, underproduced, and at times downright dour, On the Beach was Neil Young’s first studio album after Harvest had transformed him into a mainstream superstar two years before.
