Description
Named after the road signs on the local bypass, the Derbyshire band combined elements of folk musics from across the United Kingdom. Beginning as an acoustic trio, and later adding a rhythm section and the vocals of Jayne Marsden, they began to expand their sound, taking in elements of progressive rock and combining catchy vocal tunes with virtuosic instrumentals, including a synthesizer. Their self-titled first album was recorded in 1982-83 in Dave Pegg’s (Fairport Convention) Woodworm Studios. Will appeal to fans of Vashti Bunyan and Linda Perhacs. LP comes with inner sleeve with liner notes and rare photos. CD has 20 page booklet.
